  1. Part 1 Chap. 7
1.”I will be like the Most High” said Lucifer
2.Our Savior Himself says: “Be you therefore perfect, as also your heavenly Father is perfect.” (Matt 5:48) This is to be understood primarily of moral perfection, but may be interpreted to mean also that we shall participate in the other perfections of God.
3.Man is far superior to irrational animals because of his rational soul, yet the irrational animals possess many corporeal advantages in which man is wanting.
    4. Bit in grace, the light of divine glory is reflected by the soul pure and entire, and the soul is made so sublime an image of God that all the perfection of creatures are gathered in it.
    5. The unpolished diamond has the same value as an unpolished diamond; the seed of a tree in your hand, yet you don’t suspect the great a beautiful tree contained in it. Likewise the beautiful and divine perfection, which grace communicates to you, is within you, hidden and concealed.
    6. St. Paul, says to walk by faith and not by sight, believing the unfailing promise of God.
    7. St. Peter tells us that “by the power of Go” you “are kept by faith unto salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time, “and through Christ we have the lively hope of an incorruptible inheritance–undefiled and unfading, reserved for you in heaven.
