Immaculata Classical Academy

Immaculata Classical Academy is an independent Catholic school in Louisville, Kentucky, serving students from preschool through 12th grade. We are a school for the whole family, including children with special needs. Our mission is to provide a rigorous classical education in the liberal arts that produces men and women of character, virtue and holiness.

Our school bears the name of the Immaculata, a title of the Blessed Virgin Mary which was used by St. Maximilian Kolbe, referring to her Immaculate Conception. St. Maximilian Kolbe, one of our school’s patron saints, challenged Catholics not to be afraid of loving Mary too much, for we “can never love her more than Jesus did.” Our children pray Kolbe’s Marian consecration prayer together every morning and are encouraged to pray the Rosary daily. We observe, in some manner, all the feasts of the Blessed Mother throughout the school year. Our students always look forward to constructing Marian grottos with their classmates in preparation for the school’s May procession and crowning!
